What we use

The standards we build to, and the gear we build with

Platforms and materials

Alarm & automationAlarm.com-powered panels. Elite Connect is an authorized dealer. App control, cellular reporting, video and automation on one platform.
Video surveillanceONVIF-compliant IP cameras and recorders in both commercial and residential lines, specified to the site rather than to one brand.
Access controlCloud-managed and on-premise controllers with OSDP readers, card, fob and mobile credentials.
Cable & hardwareTrade-grade material purchased through ADI Global Distribution, not big-box cable.
MonitoringUL-listed central station, 24/7/365, cellular and dual-path signaling.

Not married to one manufacturer. If a brand is right for your building we will spec it; if a rep is pushing something that does not fit, we will say so.

Dealer relationships we hold

These are authorizations, not logos on a page. A dealer relationship means factory pricing, direct technical support, firmware and warranty handled through us, and training on the platform, which is why we can stand behind what we spec.

Alarm.comAuthorized dealer for monitoring, app control and the automation platform
Hanwha VisionAuthorized dealer for commercial IP video surveillance
Snap OneAuthorized dealer for control, networking, A/V and power
ResideoAuthorized dealer for Honeywell Home security and life safety

Distribution accounts

Trade counters, not big-box aisles. Accounts mean stock we can pull the same day, real return terms and material that arrives with its certifications.

Other lines we specify and install

No formal agreement with these. They are simply the material we reach for when the job calls for it, bought through the accounts above and through 21st Century Distributing and Wesco.

How it works

Four steps, and the first one is free

There is no cost and no obligation to get a proposal from us. We would rather walk a site and lose the bid honestly than sell you a system over the phone that does not fit the building.

STEP

Free on-site consult

We walk the property with you, listen to the problem you are actually trying to solve, and take the measurements the design needs. No charge, and no obligation to buy anything.

STEP

Written, itemized proposal

You get a scope you can read: what gets installed where, what cable, what the recorder holds, what the monthly costs are if any, and what is excluded. It is a document you can put next to another bid and compare line for line.

STEP

Permits, scheduling and install

Where the work needs a permit, fire alarm especially, we pull it. We agree a schedule that works around your building being occupied, and we protect and clean the space we work in.

STEP

Test, document and train

Systems get tested, not just energized: cable certification reports, camera night checks, alarm signal verification, fire acceptance testing with the marshal. Then we train whoever will use it and leave you the documentation.

Our capabilities

The full stack, in one crew

Six of the systems we build most often. Every one of them is designed, installed and documented by the same licensed contractor, and most buildings need three or four together.

Service area

Hampton Roads is home. The license covers Virginia.

Virginia contractor and DCJS licenses are statewide, so we take work anywhere in the Commonwealth. Hampton Roads is same-week; Richmond, Fredericksburg, Northern Virginia and the rest of the state we schedule and mobilize for.

Common questions

Before you call anyone

Is the consultation really free?

Yes. We come to the property, walk it with you, take the measurements a real design needs, and send a written itemized proposal at no charge and with no obligation. We would rather lose a bid honestly than sell a system over the phone that does not fit the building.

Are you licensed and insured in Virginia?

Yes. Elite Connect LLC holds Virginia Class A contractor license #2705190126 with the Electronic/Communication Service (ESC) and Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) specialties, and is registered with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS #11-20830). Certificate of insurance is available on request.

What areas do you cover?

Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Portsmouth, Hampton, Newport News and Williamsburg: the seven cities and the Peninsula. Virginia Beach is our home base.

Do you work on both commercial and residential properties?

Both. Commercial and multi-family work (offices, retail, warehouses, HOAs and condominium associations) is the larger share, and we do residential cameras, alarms, network wiring and A/V as well.

Can you take over a system another company installed?

Usually. Many alarm panels, camera recorders and access systems can be taken over and re-programmed rather than replaced. We inspect what is there first and tell you plainly whether takeover or replacement is the better spend.

How fast can you get out here?

Most consults are scheduled within a few business days. Call 804-445-9674 or book a time online and you will get a confirmed appointment, not a callback queue.
