Who we serve

Residential

Cameras that are actually usable at night, an alarm that still reports when the power is out, network wiring that reaches the far bedroom, and a TV mounted with the wires inside the wall where they belong.

What you get

  • Free in-home consult and written proposal
  • Camera systems with no required monthly fee
  • Monitored alarms with cellular backup and app control
  • Whole-home network wiring and Wi-Fi that reaches
  • TV mounting with concealed, in-wall rated power
  • Outdoor cameras, TVs and speakers rated for coastal weather
  • Prewire during construction, or retrofit in a finished home

Done once, done right, no subscription trap

We will tell you up front which parts of a home system carry a monthly cost and which do not. Cameras with an on-site recorder have no monthly fee. Monitored alarm service does. You should know which is which before you sign, and you should not find equipment cost buried in a five-year monitoring agreement.

What we most often get called for at home

Four to eight camera systems covering doors, driveway and yard. Monitored alarms with cellular backup and app control. Wiring an office or a bonus room that Wi-Fi will not reach. Access points that cover the whole house instead of one floor. TVs mounted over fireplaces and on brick, with concealed power and signal. Outdoor TVs and patio speakers that survive a coastal summer.

New home, renovation, or after the fact

If your house is being built or gutted, the cheapest hour we will ever spend on it is the prewire. If it is finished, we fish walls and use existing pathways, and that is normal work, and we patch what we open.

Questions

Common questions

Is there a monthly fee?

Only for monitored alarm service and, if you choose it, cloud video storage. A camera system recording to an on-site recorder has no monthly cost. We separate those lines on the proposal so you can see exactly what recurs.

Can you run wiring in a finished house?

Yes. We fish walls, use attic and crawlspace pathways and existing chases, and we patch what we have to open. Coastal-Virginia crawlspaces are familiar territory.

Do you install cameras I bought myself?

Sometimes. It depends on the gear. We will look at what you have and tell you honestly whether it is worth installing or whether you will be replacing it in two years.

How long does a typical home install take?

Most residential camera or alarm installs are one day. Whole-home wiring and A/V can run two to three, and we will tell you which days before we start.
