About
A small Virginia contractor that carries a big license
Elite Connect LLC is a Virginia Beach low-voltage and electronic security contractor. Owner-led, licensed for both electronic security and fire alarm, and built around a simple idea: do the documentation nobody else does, and the callbacks take care of themselves.
Who you are hiring
Elite Connect LLC was formed in Virginia Beach in 2023 and is led by owner Matthew Cox, with a team carrying more than twenty years of combined experience in structured cabling, electronic security and audio/video. The owner is on site. There is no layer between the person who scopes your job and the person who installs it.
That matters more in this trade than in most, because low voltage is where the corners get cut invisibly. Nobody sees the cable inside the wall. Nobody checks whether the drop was certified. Nobody asks for the as-built until eighteen months later when something breaks and there is no record of what was installed.
What we do differently
We put the standard on the proposal. Cable type, category, rating, the code the fire alarm is built to, the retention the recorder actually holds. If a competing bid does not say those things, you are not comparing the same job.
We test and hand you the results. Certification reports on cabling. Night checks on cameras. Signal verification on alarms. Acceptance testing with the fire marshal present. The test is the deliverable, not the wire.
We document the turnover. Port maps, camera maps, device schedules, credentials, and a walkthrough with whoever is actually going to use the system, not just the person who signed the contract.
We tell you when you do not need something. The fastest way to lose a customer permanently is to sell them four cameras they will never look at. We would rather scope the three that matter and keep the relationship.
Who we work with
Most contractor sites carry a wall of manufacturer logos. This is not that. These are the working relationships that actually change what we can do for you.
We install and service the displays, mounts, cabling, power and network behind Three B’s venue screen network across Hampton Roads. They handle our own marketing and Google presence. We refer work to each other and we consult on jobs that need both sides, because the screens are only as good as the infrastructure behind them.
Licenses, on the record
Virginia Class A contractor license #2705190126, verified active, holding both the Electronic/Communication Service (ESC) and Fire Alarm Systems (FAS) specialties. The FAS specialty is why we can permit and inspect commercial fire alarm rather than subbing it out. Registered with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services as an electronic security business, DCJS #11-20830.
Where we work
Hampton Roads is the home market (all seven cities plus the Peninsula and Williamsburg), and Virginia contractor and DCJS licenses are statewide, so we also work Richmond, Northern Virginia, the I-95 corridor, Charlottesville, Roanoke and Lynchburg. The consult and the proposal are free, and for work outside Hampton Roads we show mobilization as its own line rather than hiding it in the rate.

Where our reviews live
“We contacted Matthew and his company… They unboxed the TV, installed the TV mounts, tested the unit before mounting.”
“Elite Connect was very helpful in getting my landline to work, and I appreciate their quality work.”
How we work
From first call to turnover
Free on-site consult
We walk the property with you, listen to the problem you are actually trying to solve, and take the measurements the design needs. No charge, and no obligation to buy anything.
Written, itemized proposal
You get a scope you can read: what gets installed where, what cable, what the recorder holds, what the monthly costs are if any, and what is excluded. It is a document you can put next to another bid and compare line for line.
Permits, scheduling and install
Where the work needs a permit, fire alarm especially, we pull it. We agree a schedule that works around your building being occupied, and we protect and clean the space we work in.
Test, document and train
Systems get tested, not just energized: cable certification reports, camera night checks, alarm signal verification, fire acceptance testing with the marshal. Then we train whoever will use it and leave you the documentation.
