Privacy notice
Short version: we collect what we need to quote your job, we keep it for as long as the work and the licensing records require, and we do not sell it to anyone. This notice says exactly what that means.
What information do we collect?
From the consultation form: your name, company, phone number, email address, property location, property type, approximate size, timeline and whatever you tell us about the work. From the package builder: the same contact details plus the configuration you built and the indicative totals it produced. If you arrived from an advertisement we also record six campaign fields carried in the URL, so we know which ads produce real work. We do not ask for and do not want payment card numbers, government identification or date of birth.
What do we do with it?
Contact you, schedule a site visit, and prepare a proposal. That is the whole list. We do not sell, rent or trade your information, we do not add you to a marketing list you did not ask to join, and we do not send newsletters.
Who else sees it?
Three categories of processor, and no one else. Form submissions are received and stored by Netlify, our hosting and forms provider, and forwarded to our email. Lead records are stored in Supabase, our database provider, in a table that only a service-role key can write to. Appointments booked on our calendar are stored the same way. Site analytics are handled by Google Analytics 4, which receives standard usage data: pages viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, and which actions were taken. No advertising tags are installed at present. Each of those processes data under its own terms. We do not pass your details to other contractors, lead brokers or aggregators.
Do you use cookies?
The site itself sets no advertising cookies of its own. It does store campaign attribution in your browser, meaning which search or advertisement brought you here, and it keeps that for up to 90 days rather than only for the visit, because deciding on a security system usually takes longer than one sitting. Clearing site data in your browser removes it. Google Analytics 4 is installed and sets its own analytics cookies. Google Ads and Meta tags are not installed. You can block any of it in your browser without affecting how the site works.
How long do you keep it?
Inquiries that do not become work are kept for 24 months, which is long enough to recognize you if you come back. Project records are kept for the life of the warranty and then for the period Virginia contractor and DCJS licensing require us to hold job records. Netlify retains form submissions until they are deleted from the dashboard.
How do you ask us to delete it?
Email sales@eliteconnectva.com or call 804-445-9674 and say so. We will delete your inquiry and confirm within 30 days, unless we are required to retain records for a completed project, in which case we will tell you what is being kept and why. Virginia's Consumer Data Protection Act applies to businesses processing data on at least 100,000 Virginia consumers a year, which is far above our size, so the Act does not bind us. We follow its main expectations anyway.
How is system documentation protected?
Where we hold documentation about your security or life-safety system, meaning camera field-of-view maps, device schedules, access credentials, panel codes or network configuration, we treat it as confidential and it never leaves the project. This is also why we do not publish customer site photographs of installed security systems.
